Overview
StartKind helps users turn overwhelming tasks into small next steps. We design the app to collect only what is needed to provide the service and to keep local use available without an account.
Information We Process
The app may process task text, voice transcription text, timer activity, task categories, recovery notes, language preference, account email, subscription status, and optional co-start room participation details.
Local And Cloud Use
StartKind can be used locally without signing in. If you sign in, selected app data may sync through Supabase so your account can use cloud-powered steps, cross-device sync, and co-start features.
Speech
Voice capture uses Apple speech and microphone permissions to convert spoken input into text. StartKind uses the resulting text to create a next step.
AI Features
When cloud-powered steps are enabled, task text may be sent to a server-side AI provider through StartKind's backend. We do not sell this data.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple App Store systems. StartKind may send receipt data to its backend to verify Plus entitlement and mirror subscription state for cloud features.
