Terms of Service
Effective: July 26, 2026
TaskKin Care is a family care coordination and information-organizing tool. It helps families distribute care tasks, share timelines and documents, and coordinate notifications. TaskKin Care is not a medical device, medical service, emergency service, or a substitute for professional medical advice.
TaskKin Care is developed and operated by Jun Yu, an independent developer.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using TaskKin Care, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older, or use the service as an authorized representative (for example, a primary caregiver acting on behalf of a care recipient).
3. Accounts and households
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter.
- You control who you invite to your household and their roles.
- Invite links expire after 48 hours in the MVP.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload PHI or identifiable medical records unless you have confirmed they are de-identified and you are authorized to share them.
- Use the service for diagnosis, prescription, emergency triage, or clinical decision-making.
- Attempt to access data outside your household.
- Abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
5. Non-medical nature and disclaimers
TaskKin Care provides coordination and organization only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Always seek the advice of qualified medical professionals. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services (911 in the US) immediately.
6. Documents and AI/OCR
Uploaded documents are metadata and candidate-field coordination aids, not verified medical records. OCR confidence and AI summaries are assistive only and require human confirmation before any action.
7. Fees
Family Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription: $9.99/month or $69.99/year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. On Android, payment is charged to your Google Play account; you can manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play settings (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. The Free tier remains available at no charge.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant TaskKin Care a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete account & households. Deleting your account permanently deletes your account and every household you coordinate; memberships in any other households are anonymized. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect safety and security.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskKin Care is provided "as is" without warranties, and our liability is limited as permitted by applicable law. The service is not liable for medical decisions, missed care actions, or outcomes based on coordination content.
11. Dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. This governing-law selection has not received independent legal counsel review.
